The Eddys

The Eddys were a Sydney based rockin' combo in the 80's.

They visited Perth for a show called "One For The Money" at the Regal Theatre in Subiaco.

This interview was conducted in their hotel as I recall. You can hear their cassette player in the background which meant I couldn't edit the interview, so it was played as recorded.

This would have been around 1986.

Some of the Eddys music is available on a compliation from the great Canetoad Records.

Rockin' Secondlife

Secondlife is all about sex if you believe the British press.

Well, if that's not enough to interest you in it you can also find some pretty cool rockin' places on Secondlife.

Let me tell you about Bop Street.
Bop Street is a rockin' area within Secondlife with virtual joints like the TON UP Cafe and Bleeker's Cafe.

Regular live DJ's spin rockin' tunes (including me).

They also have a 24 / 7 rockin' music stream which you can listen to from any computer, you don't have to be logged in to Secondlife.
You can find at http://bopstreet.co.uk - just follow the link to radio and click play now to listen to great rockin' tunes all day every day.

A great way to hang out and enjoy cool music and chat about rockin' stuff.

I recommend checking it out.

Gene Vincent Rocks!

The annual Gene Vincent Night at the Ace Cafe is always a blast.
Paul Maitland played Gene in the stage play "Be Bop A Lula".
He is a true fan.
The other cats were in the Bluecats, the cool 80's rockin' band.
I'm not sure if I'll get to London for this, but I hope to.

I'm having problems ripping the cassette tapes of the interviews to the computer, so please hang in there.
